About the Project

Budtrendr is a lightweight B2B wholesale catalog and order management application built for NYS cannabis microbusinesses. It serves as a streamlined alternative to complex enterprise ERP systems, allowing craft farms to digitize their sales pipeline without heavy monthly overhead.

The application ingests Metrc active package CSVs and automatically generates live, private storefront links. These links allow dispensary buyers to view real-time inventory and submit Purchase Order (PO) inquiries directly from their phones with zero account creation or login required.

Built using the Vanilla Stack philosophy, the platform relies on Django and PostgreSQL for backend data management and strict inventory locking to prevent double-selling. The frontend utilizes HTMX to deliver a fast, SPA-like mobile experience without the bloat of a JavaScript-heavy framework. The entire application is containerized with Docker and served via Nginx for reliable deployment.
